History of the Rope-Pulley Family Heritage Assoc

The Rope-Pulley Family Heritage Association first met on 23 Jan 1994. There were a series of gatherings and meetings prior to this which were chiefly organised by Barbara Drady, who wanted to get the cousins together prior to the 1988 Bi-Centenary Celebrations.

Sylvia Taylor went to several of the early gatherings and made many contacts with family members. It was through these contacts that she was able to flesh out the information for her book "Strands of Rope & Pulley".
